1. LUSH’s Double Fast Luck emotibomb is scented with LUSH’s signature scent, Karma. LUSH wishes you “good fortune this (Chinese) New Year”. Emotibombs are used in the shower and surround you with lovely scented steam. And they’re vegan friendly. You can buy this for $3.95 online or in stores. In 2009, Chinese New Year falls on January 26. I can say only good things about LUSH. Both the customer service and products themselves are absolutely outstanding.

3. Holiday nyokki plants are handmade ceramic containers with rye grass seed. These particular designs are holiday themed and you can choose from a gingerbread man, a snowman, or Santa. Get them for $14 at fred flare. You simply add water, set in a sunny place, and watch them grow. These are like Chia Pets, but a little more up to date. And Cuter.

4. Sanrio tree ornaments Because we know I love Hello Kitty and Deery Lou. Originally priced at $8 at Urban Outfitters, they’re now on sale for $4.99-$5.99. The gingerbread Deery is my favourite. I have a Deery Lou ornament from a few seasons ago hanging in the bathroom. That may not seem particularly appropriate, but if you saw our bathroom you’d understand.
